Description
Deane Adams & Deane Revolving Rifle.Serial no. 32 [receiver and barrel], .45 caliber, 24 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of receiver marked: DEANE ADAMS & DEANE 30 KING WILLIAM ST[T] LONDON BRIDGE. Patent no. 13063.R to right side of receiver and cylinder. Checkered walnut straight stock. Metal buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 9252 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.
Condition: Very good. Finish a smooth grey patina, with scattered areas of handling wear and patches of pitting. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising to stock. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
