Colt Model 1855 Revolving Shotgun.
Serial no. 3597 [receiver and lower tang], 20 gauge, 31-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear folding leaf sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of receiver marked: COL. COLT HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. Checkered hardwood straight stock and smooth forearm. Two barrel bands and two sling swivels. Metal ramrod. Metal carbine buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 8909 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered areas of handling wear and patches of pitting. Noticeable dings and scuffs present to stocks. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
