Description
Cased & Engraved Consecutive Numbered Pair of Armi Famars Sidelock Ejector Double Barrel Shotguns.Serial no's. 31009 and 31010 [both receivers, barrels and fore-ends with their own numbers], 12 gauge [2 3/4-inches], 26-inch barrels with solid ribs and front bead sights. Ribs marked ARMI FAMARS 1 and 2. Set triggers. Brown blued finish barrels, lever and triggerguard. Case-hardened receiver and upper tang area. Elaborately scroll and floral engraved receiver, triggerguard, lever, upper tang and fore-end metal. Finely checkered walnut straight stock and splinter fore-end Anson-style release. Famars marked shield on each fore-end, accented in gilt. Hard rubber buttplate. Length of pull on both is 14 1/2-inches, Weight: 6 1/2 pounds. Contained in leather double cased compartment traveling case with red felt lining. Snap caps and oilers present.
Condition: Good to very good. Retaining approximately 90-92% finish throughout with minor loses to handling and poor storage. SN# 31010, minor light scratches to finish on barrels, 1/4-inch finish loss near front of fore-end on right side of barrel. Both with bluing loses to serial number area on the lower tang. Some loses to gilt shield on fore-ends. Stocks with mars, dents and nicks throughout. Buttpads with normal to moderate wear, some scuffs to corners.
