Description

A Very Fine and "Righteous" Indian Gun. With hide wrap at the wrist and typical well -patinated brass tacking. This is a cut down version of a martially marked Harper's Ferry musket converted to percussion. Most likely it was cut down from its considerable original length so as to be less cumbersome when carried on horseback. Overall very good condition with typical light surface pitting and dark gray patina. No major defects, but the wood appears to have been cleaned or possibly refinished. Tacks appear original and untouched. Great display appeal! Length 38.25 inches.
