Tolley Boxlock Extractor Double Rifle with Telescopic Sight.Serial no. : 6607. .470 Nitro. 26-inch chopperlump barrels with quarter rib with express sights (standing 100, folding 200, 300) and German-style claw mounts. Sunken matted rib with ramped front sight base with spear front sight. Quarter rib with locking dovetail. Casehardened boxlock action engraved with maker's name in a banner and bold foliate scroll. Blued floorplate with bold foliate scroll. Disc-set strikers. Side clips. Non-automatic safety. Extractor. Finely checkered pistolgrip stock of well-figured walnut. Checkered panels at head of stock with Cheekpiece. Casehardened grip-cap. Finely checkered splinter fore-end with lever release. Data: Proof: Birmingham Nitro, 470 EX. Cordite 75-500 max. Pull: 14 inches. Weight: 11 pounds 12 ounces. Swarovski 1.25-4x24 telescopic sight with 3 bold crosshairs with German mounts. Condition: Excellent, as partially redone. Barrels show 98/99% bluing. Excellent bores with some brass residue. Action shows 96-98% case colors. Floorplate shows 94-96% reblued finish. Triggerguard shows 96-98% reblued finish with some small marks, traces of serial number remaining. Grip cap shows 90-95% faded case colors. Wood shows a refreshed finish with a few marks. Recoil pad missing screw plug. Telescopic sight in excellent condition.
