Description
Very Fine Untouched M1763 Charleville .69 Caliber Flintlock Musket totally in the black. Used extensively by American troops duringthe Revolution this being an exceptional example. Complete and original in every respect. All metal with smooth deep dark patina, no rust or pitting. Original flintlock configuration with lock exhibiting script Charleville arsenal mark and appropriate barrel proofs. Wood also excellent with deep dark wich patina. One small age hairline at the bottom of the buttstock with no loss, else the wood about perfect with dark rich patina, just showing some signs of minor honest use. really a superb untouched example of this important 18th century military flintlock infantry musket.Auction Info
