U.S. Springfield 1864 Percussion Rifle.

Unserialized, approximately .64 caliber, 29-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued finish. Lock marked: 1864, (eagle) and U.S. / SPRINGFIELD. Muzzleloading percussion action. Smooth hardwood straight stock with sling swivel. Metal ramrod, triggerguard and carbine buttplate.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with signs of handling wear, age and pitting. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Action functions. Barrel has been repaired and plugged, 4-inches from muzzle.
