Description
U.S. Springfield 1863 Percussion Rifle.Unserialized, .62 caliber, 34-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued finish. Lock marked: 1864, (eagle) and U.S. / SPRINGFIELD. Smooth walnut straight stock with two barrel bands and two sling swivels. Metal ramrod and buttplate.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Noticeable dings, scuffs and bruising present to wood. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
