Description
U.S. Navy Plymouth Pattern Marked Percussion Rifle. NVSN, approximately .77 caliber, 29-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Lock marked: (eagle crest) / U.S. and Harpers / Ferry / 1855. Top of barrel at breech marked: PLYMOUTH/PATTERN/1858. Straight figured walnut stock with brass furniture. Carbine butt. See Flaydermann: 9A-312.5.Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark brown age patina with noticeable wear and pitting. Brass has been heavily cleaned. Stock has been shortened. Wood showing scuffs, dings and bruises. Ramrod absent. Action functions.
