Description

U.S. Model 1863 U.S. Springfield Rifle Metal is generally smooth and gray with heavy pitting on the barrel at the nipple, replaced rear sight, bore is worn smooth. Functioning lock is dated 1863, dark with clear markings, hammer is dark with areas of deep pitting. Wood is smooth with very minor dents, no inspector cartouches are evident. Complete with original ramrod. Comes with a standard .58 caliber US stamped angular bayonet in excellent condition with brass tipped leather scabbard that shows minor crazing on the frog.
