Description
U.S. Johnson 1835 Flintlock Musket.Unserialized, approximately .68 caliber, 41-inch barrel fixed front brass blade sight. Top of barrel marked: US / NWP / P. Lock marked: 1835 / MIDDN. CONN. and US / (eagle) / JOHNSON. Upper tang marked 1835. Smooth hard wood full body stock with three barrel bands and sling swivels. Inspectors cartouche to left side of stock. Top of stock marked: S 14 and HKC cartouche. US marked metal buttplate.
Condition: Very good. Retaining traces of original finish, the balance a plum grey patina with scattered wear and pitting. Scuffs and dings to wood, along with some noticeable ones to right side of stock. Action good.
