Description
U.S. Harpers Ferry 1853 Mississippi Percussion Rifle.Unserialized, .54 caliber, 32-inch barrel with fixed front sight, bayonet lug and adjustable rear sight. Lock marked: HARPERS / FERRY / 1853 and (eagle) / U.S. Smooth hardwood straight stock with two brass barrel bands, triggerguard, hinged patchbox and U.S. marked buttplate. Sling swivels. Metal ramrod.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs, dings and bruising to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
