Description
George Leonard Muzzle Loading Half-Stock Percussion Rifle.Unserialized, .41 caliber, 30-inch octagonal barrel with hooded front sight and rear peep sight. Left side of barrel marked: GEO. O LEONARD / KEENE NH 1866. Unmarked lock. Smooth walnut straight stock with decorative silver inlays and hinged patchbox. Crescent metal buttplate. Brass tipped wood ram rod.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with honest signs of age, handling wear and patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Forearm barrel pin absent. Large 2-inch crack to right side of stock, in front of action. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
