Description
Full Stock Flintlock Incise Carved Pennsylvania Rifle by Christian Beck .43" full octagonal, .48 caliber rifled barrel Signed C. Beck in script on the top flat. Original flintlock configuration. All brass mounts with beautiful and elaborately engraved four piece patch box, cheek side of butt with extensive incise carving. Two screw side plate with beveled edges, notched rear sight, and dovetailed brass blade front sight. What appears to be original ramrod with brass tip for attaching worm. Small sliver on left forestock easily repaired with a few other slivers that have already been nicely repaired and nearly imperceptible. Small chip missing behind hammer, minor. Barrel with generally dark smooth patina with just one area of pitting forward of the touch hole. Very nice rifle by this highly esteemed and very desirable maker.Auction Info
