French Revolutionary War Charleville Flintlock Musket Attributed to New Hampshire 2nd Battalion.

Unserialized, approximately .70 caliber, 41-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Left side of barrel marked: NH 2 B NO. 244 and U.S. Lock marked: CHARLEVILLE. Smooth hardwood full-stock with three barrel bands and sling swivels. Right side of stock stamped: U. STATES. Metal buttplate and triggerguard. Metal ramrod. Manufactured by Charleville Royal Armoury. Sold along with the book titled: New Hampshire marked French Revolutionary War Muskets, by Michael Carroll 2009. It is listed on page 46, with the 2nd Battalion number 244, as one of nineteen known remaining.

Condition: Good. Finish primarily a mottled grey patina with noticeable signs of handling wear and pitting. Scattered dings, scuffs and bruising present to wood. Action function. Pitted bore.
