Engraved Staudenmeyer Cock Spur Percussion Rifle.

Unserialized, .44 caliber, 29 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and rear folding leaf sight. Top of barrel marked: STAUDENMEYER COCK SPUR ST. LONDON. Elaborately scroll engraved receiver, lever, breech and triggerguard. Checkered hardwood half-stock. Hinged patchbox to right side of stock. Wood ramrod. Metal buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 7561 / MEMORIAL.

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of age, handling wear and pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Trivial drilled hole to base of stock and a few inches from end of barrel, possible for sling eyes. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
