Description
Enfield 1865 Percussion Saddle Ring Musketoon.Unserialized, approximately .69 caliber, 20-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Lock marked: (crown) / V.R. and (crown) / V 1865.68 / ENFIELD. Chain and nipple cover. Smooth walnut stock with two barrel bands and metal swivel ramrod. Number 1 above a faint stamp to right side of stock. Partial brass buttplate.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina, with scattered handling wear and patches of pitting. Saddle ring absent. Scuffs and dings present to stock, noticeable wood loss to base. Action good. Dark bore.
