Description

Dauphin County Pennsylvania Rifle by David Glasbrener. Signed in script on top of the barrel "D. Glassbrener". 43 3/8" rifled .50 caliber full octagon barrel, 3/4" across the flats. Barrel overall with mostly smooth dark patina with pitting at the breech and pitting just above the lock, open rear sight, dovetailed brass front sight. Lock marked "London Warranted" with simple engraving. Gun is a reconversion to flint utilizing a new hammer. All brass furniture, round ramrod pipes, wear plate with engraved edges, four piece patch box with decorative flower and scroll engraving. Patch box release in toe plate. Side plate engraved "No 122". Full maple stock with excellent natural curl, carved cheek piece inlayed with brass strip, star and moon silver inlays above and below, six silver quarter moon inlays on the forend. Stock in excellent condition showing minor dents and scratches.
