Confederate C.S. Richmond Percussion Rifle.

Unserialized, .62 caliber, 29-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear folding sight. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Lock marked: 1863 and C.S. / RICHMOND. Smooth hardwood straight stock with sling swivels and shoulder sling. Two barrel bands. Tulip head metal ramrod. Brass carbine buttplate. The C.S. Richmond Rifle was a Confederate muzzleloading rifle-musket produced in Richmond, Virginia, during the Civil War.

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a bright grey patina with noticeable handling wear, age and surface rust. Scattered dings, scuffs and bruising present to wood. Action not working, needs adjustment. Lightly pitted bore.
