Description

Composite Remington Arms Wells Fargo Marked Double Barrel Hammer Shotgun. Serial no. 84255 [frame and fore-end iron], 15756 [barrel], 10 gauge, 23 1/2-inch barrels. Blued finish with case-hardened frame. Checkered fore-end and pistolgrip stock. Top of rib hand engraved: Wells, Fargo & Co. 133. Also marked: E. Remington & Sons. Ilion, N.Y. Note: According to consignor, this gun came out of the Harrah's Collection from the Pony Express Museum. Condition: Very good as configured. Rib proud to frame.. Retaining approximately 10-20% blued finish on barrel with balance turned a plum brown patina. Some traces of case-hardening remain on frame with balance turning into a dark gray patina. Metal with light staining and scratches. Stocks in good condition with light dings and most of varnish missing from fore-end. Barrels have numerous dings the closer you get to the muzzle. Action good. Bore good, dents are visible inside.
