Description
British L.A. Co. 1862 Percussion Rifle.Unserialized, approximately .58 caliber, 28-inch barrel with adjustable rear folding sight. Case-hardened hammer. Lock marked: (crown) and 1862 / L.A. CO. Smooth hardwood straight stock with sling swivels and two barrel bands. Brass triggerguard and buttplate. Metal ramrod.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of handling wear and pitting. Scattered scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Large loss at base of stock. Action not working. Lightly pitted bore.
