Description
Marlin Ballard Sporting Rifle.Serial no. 26821, 28 1/2-inch round heavy barrel with front sight. Case-hardened frame with a plum brown finish. Walnut stocks with checkered pistolgrip. Swiss buttplate configuration. Tang tapped, no rear sight.
Condition: Good to very good as configured and refinished. Retaining an overall even plum brown finish. Gun originally blued with case-hardened frame. Evidence of pitting to barrel and frame. Gun has an old lacquered finish to it. Stocks has been cleaned and touched up. Metal and wood parts with traces of mold due to poor storage. Buttstock is a bit loose. Action good, bore very good.
