Description
Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle.Serial no. 549506B [lower tang], .44 W.C.F. caliber, 24 1/4-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and rear elevation sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Dust cover. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate with cleaning rod reservoir. Manufactured in 1900.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with thinning to relief edges, handling wear and patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Moderately pitted bore. From the Collection of Oran B. Jolley.
