Description

Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle Adorned With Brass Tacks. Serial No. 138463A, .44-40 caliber, 24ΒΌ-inch round barrel with Rocky Mountain sights. Blued finish. Straight walnut stock and fore-end. Curved metal buttplate with storage cover. Both sides of the butt are adorned with large-headed brass tacks, one side in a more-or-less cross pattern; the other a circular motif. Manufactured 1883.
Condition: Good. Metal with an overall smooth grey finish with occasional spotting. Dust cover lacking. This is a well-used but early example, mechanically sound and with a nice bore.
