Description
Winchester First Model 1873 Lever Action Carbine.Serial no. 17026, .38 caliber, 20-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Metal carbine butt with cleaning rod reservoir. Manufactured in 1876.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of wear, age and patches of pitting. Screw absent to lower tang. Dust cover and cleaning rod missing. Heavy dings, bruising and scuffs present to wood. Large cracks to each side of stock. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
