Spencer Model 1865 Repeating Saddle Ring Carbine.

Serial no. 29031, .52 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear ladder sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of receiver marked: SPENCER REPEATING / RIFLE CO. BOSTON MASS. / PAT'D MARCH 6 1860. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Sling swivel. Seven shot magazine tube. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 7040 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum, Part II.

Condition: Good. Finish a dark grey patina with noticeable wear and pitting throughout. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising to wood. Screw absent to left side in front of saddle ring. Action good. Dark bore.
