Description
Sharps New Model 1859 Saddle Ring Carbine.Serial no. C30990, .50-70 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear ladder sight. Blued finish. R.S. Lawrence and C. Sharps patent dates to right side of receiver. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action crisp. Bright bore. From the Sylver Schaller Collection.
