Description
Modified Winchester Takedown Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle.Serial no. 296566, .357 magnum caliber (re-drilled by Winchester), 24 1/4-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and rear elevation sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. 357 MAGNUM stamped to top of barrel. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Metal carbine buttplate. Manufactured in 1905.
Condition: Good. Retaining trace of finish, the balance a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scratches, dings and bruising present to wood. Small repair to right side of wrist. Action crisp. Bright bore.
