Description
Marlin Model 1897 Lever Action Rifle.Serial no. 223504, .22 caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and rear elevation sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Factory hard rubber butt. Manufactured in 1901.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 94-96% finish, with thinning to relief edges, scattered handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Action crisp. Strong bore.
