Manufactured January, 1863.

Henry Lever Action Rifle. Serial no. 1327 [barrel, tang screw, buttplate screw and buttplate], .44 rimfire caliber, 24 1/4-inch octagonal barrel with configuration for standard blade front sight (blade absent) and notch for rear sight (also absent). Upper tang tapped for a tang-mounted rear sight. Period of use V-notched open sight dove-tailed into top of receiver. Manufactured January, 1863.

Condition: Very good to fine. Barrel is a mostly smooth brown-gray patina with scattered patches of light staining and fine pitting. Dents to elevator. Stock: Good with age wear, patina and scuffs. Moderate soiling to left side. 4-inch crack left side at wrist. Good bore showing moderate wear and pitting.
