Henry Lever Action Rifle With Sling and Dust Cover. Serial no. 7881 [barrel and buttplate], .44 rimfire caliber, 24 1/4-inch octagonal barrel with blade front and ladder rear sight graduated to 800 yards. Barrel address reading: HENRY'S PATENT OCT. 16, 1860 / MANUFACT'D BY THE NEW HAVEN ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CT. Complete with rare dust cover. Sling swivels present. Black cotton sling with brass hook and buckle. Manufactured January, 1865 and issued to U.S. Vet. Volunteers 1865.

Condition: Fine. Retaining approximately 30-40% original blue, the balance a gray-brown patina. Brass with a mostly mellow patina with areas possibly touched up or cleaned. Buttplate screw absent. Stock: Good. Bright bore with light wear.
