Description
C. Sharps New Model Lever Action Rifle.Serial no. C51379, .45-70 Govt. caliber, 30-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear ladder sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Smooth walnut straight stock and forearm. Three barrel bands. Sling eyes. Metal carbine buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 7687 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of wear and patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action needs adjustment. Lightly pitted bore.
