Cased Krieghoff Model Trumpf-Dr Custom Grade V Double Rifle Boxlock Drilling.Serial no. 82723, 30-06 x 30-06, and 20 gauge, 25-inch barrels. Blued finish with grey receiver. Custom features including, Engraving #5, Rocky Mt. Big Horn Sheep and Colorado Rocky Mt. Goat, animals in gold. Oak leaf borderline carving with skip checkering. Beavertail forearm. German-styled pistolgrip stock with oak leaf carving. Initials R.A.K. in gold on pistolgrip cap. Best available wood in Grade II. Highlights of old German scrollwork. Krieghoff claw mount for Zeiss 6x telescopic sight [included, Zeiss Diatal - Z 6x42 T*]. Engraved hinged floorplate magazine. 1-inch sling swivels. Single trigger, gold plated. According to Factory order and Krieghoff documents, gun was sighted in at 100 yards with Remington 180 grain "Coke-Lokt" bullets. Sold together with factory custom fitted leather case and accessories. Included also, factory order sheet and Certificate of ownership signed by Heinz U. Krieghoff, President at the time. Certificate confirms configuration and mentions, "this gun makes a custom two gun set with gun # 82708", also offered in this Heritage sale. Gun was custom engraved by Gerhard Reich. Note: This double rifle drilling originally sold for $7,320.00 in 1983-84 (included was a 25% discount at the time). Chambers: 3-inch. Chokes: Modified. Length of Pull: 13 5/8.
NOTE: This lot falls under the GCA Act and has Federal Firearms Licensing Requirements.
Condition: New as ordered. Showing little handling use, if any. Leather case with minor handling wear and scuffs to canvas sleeve. Bores excellent, action crisp.
