Description
Winchester Hotchkiss Model Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 715, .45-70 caliber, 24 1/4-inch barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight. Blued finish. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut straight stock with one barrel band marked: U. Metal buttplate. Manufactured in 1879.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Dings and bruising present to wood, along with noticeable cracks to wrist. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
