Winchester-Hotchkiss Model 1883 Bolt Action Saddle Ring Carbine. NSNV, .45-70 government caliber, 24-inch round barrel with standard address, pedestal front sight and windage rear sight. Single barrel band. Blued finish. Thumb-activated safety. Saddle ring and bar. Walnut stock with carbine butt. Tubular magazine within butt [see Flayderman 5K-121]. Condition: Fair to good. Metal showing grey age patina with traces of finish in some protected areas. Buttplate with wear to relief edges. Wood showing wear and crack repairs.
