Description
U.S. Springfield Model 1896 KRAG Bolt Action Saddle Ring Carbine.Serial no. 66202, .30-40 Krag caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight. Blued finish. Left side of receiver marked: U.S. / MODEL 1896 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut straight stock and finger grooved forearm. Metal buttplate with cleaning tool reservoir.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 60-70% finish with thinning, handling wear and pitting present to receiver area. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Crisp action. Bright bore.
