Description
U.S. Springfield Model 1896 Krag Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 51120. .30-40 Krag. 20-inch barrel with later fixed front sight. The rear sight base holes have been filled. The metal has been polished and no original finish remains. Left side of receiver marked "U.S. / MODEL 1896 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 51120". Walnut stock cut down to carbine size. No visible cartouches on the stock. Metal buttplate with trap door for cleaning rod.
Condition: Good as modified. Lacking magazine cutoff. Bright bore. Mechanically sound.
