Description
U.S. Springfield Model 1892 Krag-Jorgensen Bolt Action Rifle. Serial no. 3461, .30 caliber, 30-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and rear military elevation sight. Blued finish. Smooth walnut stock with grasping grooves and mounted sling swivels. (circle) P cartouche at base of stock. Metal carbine buttplate with cleaning tool reservoir. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.Condition: Fine. Retaining approximately 70-80% finish with scattered handling wear and patches of pitting. Wood showing scratches, dings and bruises. Noticeable large scuff at base of forearm on left side. No cleaning tool present. Action crisp. Strong bore.
