Description
U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1903 Bolt Action Rifle with Bayonet.Serial no. 397808, .30-06 caliber, 25-inch barrel with hooded front sight and folding rear ladder sight. Parkerized finish. Top of barrel marked: SA / (flaming bomb) / 12-09. Smooth walnut straight stock with sling swivels and stacking swivel. Leather shoulder sling. Bayonet lug. Metal but with cleaning tool reservoir. Circled P proof to base of wrist. 16-inch bayonet with scabbard. Ricasso marked: US / 164101 and RIA / (flaming bomb) / 1909.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 95-97% finish with light handling wear and very fine patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action crisp. Bright bore. From the Sylver Schaller Collection.
