Description
U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1898 Sporterized Krag Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 396753, .30-40 caliber, 30-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and 2,000 yard rear elevation sight. Smooth walnut stock with rear sling swivel. Barrel band marked: U. Metal buttplate with cleaning rod reservoir.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a cleaned finish with scattered wear and pitting. Few scattered scuffs and dings to wood. Noticeable crack to right side of stock at trigger. Ding near base of right side. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
