Description
U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1898 Krag Bolt Action Rifle. Serial no. 476488, .30-40 caliber, 23-inch barrel with standard military sights. Blued finish. Straight walnut stock with grasping grooves and JSA / 1899 cartouche. Single barrel band. Metal buttplate with cleaning tool reservoir.Condition: Good to very good. Retaining approximately 85-90% finish with signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Stock showing scattered scuffs, scratches and dings. Noticeable hole near tip of fore-end on left side of stock. No cleaning tool present. Action crisp. Moderately pitted bore.
