Description
Swiss Model 1878/81 Vetterli Bolt Action Rifle. Serial no. 165646, 10.4x38 rimfire caliber, 32 1/4-inch round barrel with standard military sights (Model 1881 rear sight). Marked WAFFENFABRIK / BERN / 165646 / M.78 on the left side of the receiver. All visible numbers matching (except bolt body). Original stock shortened to carbine configuration.Condition: Poor. Finish worn gray with light surface rust. Stock scratched and shows signs of much use and shortened as noted. Lacking loading mechanism. Bore dark and pitted. Sold for display only.
