Description
London J. Rigby BIG GAME Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 4054 [triggerguard] and 9807 [bolt], .416 caliber, 26-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. Top of barrel marked: JOHN RIGBY & CO. 43 SACKVILLE ST. LONDON W. Top of receiver stamped: .416 BORE / BIG GAME / RIGBY MAUSER / (crown)/V proof mark. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock with sling swivels and leather shoulder sling. A150 stamped to right side of stock. Ebony fore-end cap. Metal grip cap. Rubber recoil pad.
Condition: Very good as refinished. Retaining approximately 96-98% finish with scattered handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Action crisp. Bright bore.
