Description
German Mauser Model 98 Bolt Action Rifle.Serial no. 2684 [all matching], 8mm caliber, 24 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear elevation sight. Blued finish. Various German proof marks. Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock with leather shoulder sling. Metal buttplate. Sold along with bayonet numbered: 1818 and 43aSW, with 10-inch blade and metal scabbard.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 80-85% finish, with thinning to relief edges, scattered handling wear and patches of pitting. Scratches, scuffs and dings present to wood. Large cracks to each side of stock at wrist. Some discoloring and cracking to leather. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
