Description
German Gem. 98 Spandau 1915 Bolt Action Military Rifle.Serial no. 5993 [receiver, floorplate, base of stock and bolt], 8mm caliber, 30 1/4-inch barrel with standard military sights. Blued finish. Top of barrel stamped with an S. Receiver and bolt in the white. Top of receiver marked: (crown) / SPANDAU / 1915. GEM. 98 to left side of receiver. Smooth walnut pistolgrip stock with sling swivels and leather shoulder sling. Faint cartouches to right side of stock.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 80-85% finish with some thinning spots, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Some scattered dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
