Description
German byf 44 K98k Bolt Action Military Rifle. Serial No. 1269k, 7.92 x 57 caliber, 23-inch barrel with standard military sights, two barrel bands, sight hood, bayonet lug and cleaning rod. Receiver ring marked byf/44. All visible parts with matching numbers. Late war finish. Stamped barrel bands, floor plate and trigger guard. Eagle over 135 waffenamts on the receiver and other components. Turned down bolt toggle with the majority of the plum finish on the extractor. Laminated stock with cupped buttplate marked gqm/44.Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 80-90% of the thin late-war finish with some occasional spotting. Late-war stock roughly manufactured with additional light scratches and dents. Bright bore with distinct rifling.
