Description
French Model 1907-1915 Remington Berthier Contract Bolt Action Rifle.No serial numbers as manufactured by Remington, 8x50mm Lebel caliber, 30 ½-inch barrel with adjustable rear and fixed front sight. Blued with bolt, butt plate and lower sling band in the white. Left side of receiver marked "Remington Mle 1907-15"; right side of barrel marked "RAC 1907-15". A beautiful example of the Remington-made Berthier, the contract originally calling for 250,000 but likely less than 20,000 were ever manufactured. The unnumbered examples never entered French service.
Condition: Excellent.
