Dakota Arms Model 76 Bolt Action Rifle with Telescopic Sight.

Serial no. 2443 [receiver], .300 Dakota caliber, 23 3/4-inch barrel. Blued finish. Left side of receiver marked: DAKOTA ARMS / 76 / STURGIS, S.D. Finely checkered figured walnut pistolgrip stock. Sling eyes. Metal grip cap with inlaid DA medallion. Oval escutcheon to base of stock with the initials: A.L.V. Leupold VX-7 (2.5-10 x 45mm) telescopic sight, serial no. 287917T. Kick-Eez rubber recoil pad. Dakota Arms, Inc. has a rich history. Gunsmiths Don Allen and Pete Grisell founded the company in Sturgis, SD in 1986. They offered high-end bolt-action rifles, single-shot rifles, and side-by-side shotguns with many custom options. Consignor notes: This Dakota 76, chambered in the powerful .300 Dakota, was purchased in January 2000 from Dakota and has taken several Elk trophies throughout the West. It traveled to Zimbabwe and South Africa, June 2014 and accounted for several trophies including Leopard, Zebra, Sable, and Kudu.

Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 95-97% finish with a few thinning spots and light handling wear. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action crisp. Bright bore. Clear optics.
