Description
Belgian Lepage Single Shot Percussion Shotgun.Serial no. 9567 [barrel and receiver], 20 gauge, 29 3/4-inch octagonal and round damascus barrel with fixed front bead sight. Blued finish. Top of barrel marked: LEPAGE A LIEGE. Left side of barrel marked: MADE IN BELGIUM. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and fore-end. Sling swivels. Metal buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 2896 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum, Part II.
Condition: Very good. Retaining 70-80% of a thinning finish, with scattered signs of age, handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scratches, scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Bright bore.
