16 x 16 .22 German Hammer Drilling. Serial no. 18164. 16x16 gauge and .22 centerfire caliber. 27 5/8-inch barrels with flat matted rib with later telescopic sight mount. Mount obscures maker's name. Automatic rear sight. Spear front sight. Barrels marked: Prima Fluss Stahl. Rifle barrel is 9x72 R with a pinned-in .22 insert liner. French grey action with back action locks engraved with floral designs and games scenes with Red and Roe deer and Cappercaillie. Percussion fences. Greener-style crossbolt. Tang- mounted rifle barrel selector for front set trigger. Extractors. Horn triggerguard. Finely checkered pistolgrip stock of straight-grain walnut. Cartridge trap with hinged lid. Bavarian style cheek piece. Horn buttplate. Sling swivels. Checkered splinter fore-end.

Condition: Fine, as partially redone. Barrels show 94-96% bluing. Bright shotgun bores. Bright rifle bore with well-defined rifling. Replaced hammer screws are slightly different. Barrels/action shows slight looseness. Stock shows a recoated finish over numerous light marks. Stock shows a two-inch crack at toe. Buttplate shows insect losses. Fore-end shows an older recoated finish with some scratches and impressions. Checkering shows filling.
